Slug Adviser is an online orientation tool designed to supplement the information you've received from your advisers at UC Santa Cruz. 

The orientation is compiled into a number of modules, or chapters, and each provides information on a specific topic.  We recommend you work through each topic in the order they are presented; you may also navigate to specific topics using the sidebar as needed for review.

Slug Adviser's objectives are to help you:

• Understand the primary sources of academic advisement at UC Santa Cruz
• Become familiar with UC Santa Cruz Bachelor’s Degree requirements
• Understand the basics of successful course planning and enrollment, and prepare to enroll in your classes online
• Become familiar with web-based and other campus resources that are available to support you at UC Santa Cruz
  

Before You Begin:
Thoroughly read the information sent from your college and department advising offices.  You may need the following items for reference as you work through this program:

• Academic Advising & Enrollment Handbook and other materials you've received from UCSC
• Records showing your prior college courses and any Advanced Placement (AP) exam scores
