The Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education (VPDUE) is responsible for campus-wide leadership in sustaining and improving the quality for undergraduate academic programs at UCSC. The Vice Provost and Dean leads and directs academic initiatives affecting undergraduate education, academic advising, educational policy issues, campus-wide general education courses, academic offerings in the colleges, international education, summer session, teaching improvement, and academic support programs in various sites at UCSC. The VPDUE is also the campus' WASC accreditation liaison officer.
